Updated ESPN Statement on Colin Cowherd's Comments - ESPN MediaZone

:rudy: all these years dude has been saying questionable sht and now they lay down the hammer??
You also gotta realize I don't think the other stuff he said has caused as much controversy as this either. When has another pro league been pissed at him to say something. Also like somebody else said and I did too in another thread dude was leaving anyway so its not that big of a deal. I'd be more impressed if he'd signed an extension with espn and they still did the same thing.

ATL…overly
They had no connection with him anymore & he was essentially playing out the string. Makes sense to cut bait and try to get a new show that will work in that timeslot, especially with football season approaching. ESPN made the right move here

they might as well take a kid out of college and hand him a script and pay him the minimum...

They got talent...you got His & Hers, Bomani, Max & Marcellus, Le Batard etc. I'm not a huge fan of any of those people but they need to elevate one of those shows into a bigger audience/prime time slot. Love him or hate him, Colin was a beast, ESPN will see that soon enough
