Douglas then called Smith an “Uncle Tom’’ and a “house n----r and threatened to fight him several times, according to the Web site The Big Lead. The tension reportedly had been building on the show when they hired fellow journalist Jemele Hill as the third host.

Douglas felt threatened and phased out by Smith and Hill, who are close friends. The two journalists were talking to a crowd of 200 at the Orlando restaurant when Douglas tried to join in. Hill managed to thwart his efforts, which left him fuming, they said.

There's a report on YouTube that states HD got drunk and tried to take the stage TWICE at this black journaist convention.
--once when Janelle hill and michael smith were lecturing on a panel
--once whether a DJ was spinning music at a festive event

A friend rushed a stage once at a professional party before, and she didn't recall much the next day. Good times! <_<

Marcellus Wiley is more entertaining then Hugh. I remember when Hugh was on First Take and he said "If Tebow wins the game on Sun,I would go to church". He would say things like this, and anchors would be like :beli: .He tried to hard to be a Barkley more then anything else.Dont like to see any brotha out here losing a job,but Hugh will be aight.Im sure NFL Network might pick him up.

I know his wife is wondering why the fukk he did that. At least they don't have to live in Bristol anymore. I bet he woke up the next day thinking it was all a dream and he'd still have his job.

Michael SMith and Jemele Hill probably were key figures at that NBJconference and they probably invited Hugh to begin with.

By him showing out the way he did, and everyboy finding out about it, that did him in.

breh, I put on NNL a couple days ago and they had Michael Smith and Jemele Hill only on the show for a whole hour. They might as well fold the damn show. Shoulda been Jalen, Jay Williams and Hugh the whole time. they always rag on each other, michael smith just couldn't handle it.

I deleted from my DVR schedule yesterday. :snoop:

The only watchable segments now are with Herm Edwards.
