I feel like it's Duncan and Lebron then magic and Kareem
Simply put Duncan and Lebron both went number one to franchise who never won nba titles and eventually won titles with those teams. Same as Kareem and magic except Kareem left and won more with the lakers and magic stayed and won his but Duncan won five with his team and never left and played a long ass time and brought success every year. Lebron started off slow in Cleveland and exploded until he got to the finals damn near on his own but when the going got tough he left to Miami and won two rings before finally coming back to get one with the team that drafted him

Tim Duncan won more games as a spur then any other player did with the team that drafted a number one pick. Duncan also has all his teams rebounding block and scoring records sewn up plus three finals mvps to show for it. Duncan changed the culture and even now that spurs team is molded in his likeness culturally and his team never was as successful before he came

LeBron has shined a brighter light on the Cleveland Cavaliers, and the City of Cleveland, than ANY NBA player selected #1 overall has done.

On the court, he already has given them 4 NBA Finals appearances in a Cavaliers jersey, but the sheer amount of exposure and $$$ he brings into the city puts him over the moon when it comes to comparing him to other #1 picks.

Cleveland is known around the world, and mainly because of LeBron James:wow:

No other #1 pick has, basically, single handedly revived a City on it's last legs as LeBron has done.

We could've been Detroit:hhh:

I thought BTNH put Cleveland on the map

Why is dudes in here arguing about financials and all that shyt just to try to spin it in Lebron's favor. @FTBS has the best answer. If it's strictly for the franchise that drafted them it's clearly Duncan then Magic (only giving nod to Duncan for longevity) then probably Hakeem. If it's for overall career regardless of team then I got Kareem, Duncan then Lebron. Again longevity plays a factor and both of them won more titles over while Kareem has more MVPs as well while Duncan's 20 straight years of 50+ wins while also helping transition Spurs to be successful after his career over puts him over Lebron overall.
No way you put duncan over buck. Duncan never repeated and lost a lot of series being the favorite

It's clearly LeBron.

LeBron did more in Cleveland than any other #1 pick has done for the team that choose them #1 overall.
Duncan has 6 Finals appearances, 5 Rings, 2 MVPS with San Antonio
Magic has 9 Finals appearances, 5 Rings, 3 MVPs with LA
LeBron has 3 Finals appearances, 1 ring and 2 MVPS with Cleveland

Do LeBron stans even think before they post? Always trynna put extras on shyt when the numbers don't come up in their favor
