Only reason melo been getting a pass is because all the focus was on :king: james

How Melo getting a pass when he ranked 17th in the league and NY damn near tried to force him outta there this yr

I seen the CBS ranking and they had Melo at 22. Who is giving him a pass? The coli shyts on him, so does espn, so does charles on tnt

The only people in the media who consistently give Melo props and say he is a good player are :skip: and :comeon:. That's it.

My dude had the greatest USA Olympic individual performance ever and got no love from anyone. 37 points in 14 min

If it was Durant or Bron that shyt would have been on hardwood classics on NBATV right now.

Smoove is a better rebounder, overall defender, passer, and their per are about the same. Plus Aldridge is never 100%. What about him makes him "stratospheres" ahead of Smoove?

:pachaha:

Because Josh Smith likes to jack up 22 foot jump shots in the closing seconds of playoff elimination games. He's talented but his basketball IQ leaves a lot to be desired

Be real if you had to choose between starting your team with Josh Smith or LaMarcus Aldridge who are you really gonna take?

As if the bolded matters in the NBA season. Been out of the first round once in his entire career. Not a great defender and could be a much better team player.

Once again at this point he's George Gervin/Alex English/Adrian Dantley 2.0

It's not Josh's fault that the 100 million dollar man is scared of the moment. Somebody has to take the shots. I wouldn't start a franchise with either one since neither will get me a championship. Both are 2nd tier stars, which is why I said they're both on the same level

My point was how is he getting a pass and from who. Why would the 17th best player in the league need a pass?

Why would the media bring the hammer down on the 17th best player in the league?

I say the same shyt when people say Melo is overrated overrated to who? Look at his ranking in these yearly polls.

Nobody started really talking about his playoff failures until this season. For him to average as many points as he does, with his talent, not to mention he was the 3rd pick in the 2003 draft. People shytted on T-Mac for more than Melo for not getting out the first round, when T-Mac NEVER had the kind of supporting talent that Melo has had in his career and wasnt drafted as high as Melo. Im not saying he's overrated by any means im just saying he needs to win something

Until last season's Knicks-Heat series ended nobody really criticized Melo for repeatedly coming up short in the playoffs. People always made excuses: He played out West, didnt have a good supporting cast, etc.

:scusthov: at that Melo ranking. I expected dudes to be down on him but that ranking is just hate. That whole list is butt cheeks, but that's to be expected; Basketball has some of the worst analysts out of all the major American sports. I'd sooner turn to some of the posters on the Coli for an insightful and thoughtful answer before I'd turn to some of these heads on ESPN.

My thing is how in the fukk is it excuses when half your team is injured two years in a row in the playoffs that's not and excuse IT'S FACT.

It's like nikkas want Melo to beat two big three's by himself cmon now that's nonsense man.

In both series everyone knew Melo had to put up 40 just for them to even have a chance at winning. You tell me what kind of a team needs one player to put up 40 just to have a chance at winning cmon now.

And Tmac in his prime was top 3, Espn is telling you that Melo is 17th CBS is telling you that Melo is 22nd. That's a big difference.

I just don't know where this magical ez pass that Melo has, is at. You would be hard pressed to fine 5 positive articles about Melo on the net from sportswriters and analysts.

How is Rondo not top ten? There wasn't a better player in this years playoffs except Lebron. The CP3 overrating (assuming he's TOP 5) never made sense to me. Rondo>CP3

I wont even comment on Melo......:beli:
