Put it like this, when my cousin was 15-16 dude was one of the top ballers in the state....damn near all the ACC schools came to his house to recruit him. in an early season game he he fukked his achilles up, BAD...needed immediate surgery , was never the same again..... lost most of his explosiveness and alot of lateral quickness. Help defense is still defense. Defense these days is all about help defense. Rotating onto open shooters and weak side blocks and all that.

i'm not saying that you're wrong but it doesn't mean that you're a great one on one defender. Serge Ibaka is probably the best help defender in basketball and got paid a grip for it, but he got punked and bullied by Zach Randolph in one on one situations. help defense doesn't account for everything.
