They should have never picked it up in the first place. ESPN is clearly struggling with "internet shyt." They want viral moments, "hip" (ie black) lingo, frat views and all this other shyt but don't seem to understand how to balance it. They want black faces but don't want black opinions. They want semi alt-right online viewers but don't want the backlash of semi alt-right content. Politically they've pissed off the left and right. All while their viewer numbers crater for different reasons (people are cutting cable).

I don't know that I have a solution. I only watch ESPN for sports (football and sometimes basketball). I've watched maybe 10 minutes of The Six and thought it was bad. I don't watch sportscenter anymore since when I get home I'm more likely to just get online than turn my TV on.

100%

They were too used to being on top without a worry until 5 years ago, didn’t take WatchESPN seriously until a couple years ago, and since then they’ve been scrambling...allowing archaic and outta touch people who don’t know what’s best for the near future make those decisions.

My Pops Forever RIP
Desus & Mero will be good even if this extends to them.
they don't have a show on there. They're just gonna contribute to some of their coverage. They've been doing it already online.

They did a whole Nike sponsored event where they did a live podcast where they led off by talking about Gabrielle Union eating out D-Wade.

Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven
Someone tell me the back story on this.

Why is this news?

What is wrong with barstool
espn is disney owned.. they sit on their high horse and suspend their reporters for the slightest thing.. they are all about women and saying we support y'all and blah blah blah

you might as well call barstool the complete opposite of that.. making crazy jokes and comments shytting on women on an hourly basis. somehow espn thought, in this fukking climate, that they could sneak a show in there with these guys, and nobody would notice

twitter has been on fire ever since and now they canceled them

The network needs to stick to building content around sports, not personalities, cut News, and make U an online only/streaming option. shyt, do some gameshows, reality tv with former stars, hell people said that Jalen rose show was funny, air a full on scripted tv show. The more you stick to the light stuff and stop trying to create niche personalities that you then want to punish or distance yourself from when they cater to their base the better.

Petty Vandross.. fukk Yall
I wonder what was the straw that broke the camel's hump? That whole Saturday for the Boys shyt was going to take their college football pregame show to full tailgate mode. Start showing cornhole games instead of bowling or some shyt. Whatever barstool is (I still don't understand), young white kids love that shyt. I see as many Barstool flags in college kids windows as pro sports teams.

That ESPN CEO gotta go like Goodell
ESPN saw a “pornstar” on payroll:russ:
ESPN wasn’t ready for that backlash, even though she isn’t apart of their main shows anymore:mjgrin:
ESPN wasn’t worried about the frat boy, bigot shyt..
I mean they had a fukking auction and didn’t see anything wrong with it..
But having potentially an adult star around for skits or commentary:mjgrin:
Ain’t no tellin how many executives been in that world and didn’t want no smoke or potential client list leaking:mjgrin:
