I don't understand how brehs sit thru more than 30 minutes of Skip Bayless and SAS

Man when I get/take days off, I flip past but can only really watch in doses. ESPiN, in general, I have to take in doses but these two are too much. Heads' way too big now (pause!) egos and name dropping everywhere. Can only listen for 10-15 min before it gets redundant and I'll catch the same bs topics on ALL the other shows...

Maybe not in the right thread but this thread got me remembering the old (original days) of The Best Damn Sports Show Period :to:

The first 2 years (I believe..I just know John Kruk and Michael Irvin left to ESPN at the time and the show went down hill) was the GOAT sports show besides TNT NBA

when it was tom arnold, irvin, kruk, john sally and the 2 other white guys

Whatever happened to Lisa Guerrero :noah:

Lee Ann Tweeden :noah:

Best damn sports show had the finest female sports anchors :noah:
That show was :trash:

I can't even remember the last time I watched SportsCenter...seriously it has been over 10 years

trust, you ain't missing anything except the same rehashed stories over and over. Only time I watch it is after a Ravens/Wizards win.

SAS and Skip need to bring on some controversial guests. Cuban, Jalen were great. The show is just too predictable. You knew Skip would blame everybody but Johnny Football for not succeeding. Just like he did with Tebow. Nothing fresh about that. But bottom line in sports there really isn't any new story lines. Johnny Foot ball was the most interesting story and that's pretty much dead. It might be good if Skip was against Johnny but he's on his side so it's no drama. His only hope is to go full throttle on Durant in the NBA. Become his #1 critic.

Thats why I stopped watching. I remember when I first started watching SC (back when they had a blue background), Charley Steiner and Berman were the anchors and they actually showed highlights.

Stephen A Smith is still tied to ESPN in the radio business. ESPN produces his SIRIUS radio show. And you people are fools if you think ESPN is getting rid of First Take. First Take is Espn's crown jewel when it comes to sports shows (I'm talking about talking head format). ESPN gonna pay whatever to keep Stephen A also. John Skipper who is head of ESPN is a big fan of Stephen A. Stephen A nor First Take is going anywhere.

Numbers Never Lie needs a new 3rd host bad. It's needs a strong personality. Jemele (let's be serious no one wants to hear from her) and Michael Smith have dry personalities. Their show is produced like it's a college sports show in a dorm room, where two college kids argue with each other.

I used to listen to Stephen A. Smith when he was at Fox Sports. He was constantly talking about ESPN and calling it the Worldwide Leader in Sports. This man bleeds ESPN. He doesn't want to go anywhere else even after the suspension.
