TdH: Speaking of someone who isn’t so well known, I couldn’t find anything on Mr. Rose so can you talk a little bit about who he is and how you guys connected?
EN: A lot of people don’t know this but Mr. Rose is my producer alias. Mr. Rose is an independent entity to Estee Nack. It’s a different manufacturer. It’s like Newports and Marlboro; same motherfukkers producing both of them but it’s a different product, it does different things for different people.
I’ve been making beats for a long time. Sometimes I make certain styles and I do all sorts of different shyt. But I got some shyt that Estee Nack wanna rap on. I be making Reggaeton beats and all that other shyt. I’m Dominican fam so I be in here with the Dominican population; mingling with the Dominican community in my city. They all pretty much know me on my Mr. Rose shyt. They don’t give a fukk about this Estee Nack shyt all day. They want [does reggaeton drum cadence]. They want shyt that girls fukk with 100% of the time. So yeah, that’s the Mr. Rose story. I say I’m really Mr. Rose and Estee Nack is a product of Mr. Rose’s crazy ass motherfukking musical mind.

i also asked about Mr. Rose TO Mr. Nack in an interview req, and got a wink smilie. im sure he got a chuckle at my expense

It started off as Purpose and Estee. This was around the time they was dropping mixtapes. Codenine was just an affiliate. But right before they dropped their debut album, he became an official member. They later added Paranom to the group after he dropped his debut album, Life Outside the Frame. Before than, he was just a solo member on the label.

Both tapes are great but Vol. 2 is damn near an instant classic.. "Deep Rooted", "Newport Loosie", "Frank White Dyin In A Cab" and "Smile Full Of Gold" are some of the best music to come from 2017.And the King Of NY movie samples are just the cherry on top
