Not to hate but I basically feel like I've seen this game before.

It looks like Game: The Game.

Plus I feel like Immortals Fenyx Rising already did this exactly art style last generation.
Several other games and pieces of media did too but that game in particular sticks out to me.

Funny you say that. It's made by ex-Ubisoft developers on the UE5 engine. So yeah this is kind of the middle of the road game next gen game.

The encouraging thing is this a studios

Yellow Brick Games was founded in early 2020 by Mike Laidlaw and several other developers from Ubisoft, in particular its Quebec studio. Shadow of the Colossus, Dragon's Dogma, and The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom were important inspirations for gameplay,[7] while European visual novels influenced the game's art style.[8] With its physic-based combat system, the studio aimed to make players feel like they are a "fantasy superhero" while playing the game.[9] The game was created with Unreal Engine 5, and the team had about 68 people.[10]

Played through the intro. It seems like it fine but I'm going to give it a few more hours to see how it develops.

Very early thoughts after beating the first boss.

They blended Breath of the wild, Soulslike parrying, Shadow of the Colossus climbing bosses with crafting and upgrading your home base.

it's not open world it's open zones.

Climbing is a simplified version of breath of the wild. Not as complicated or as challenging. Still have a stamina meter.

You set a fire and it'll spread, ice will freeze the ground and chill you. You can grab A LOT of the environment and throw it. Trees, rocks, explosive plants.

Combat: melee Attack, bow and arrow attack, Parry, roll dodge and use powers.
It really is all modern games systems mixed into one.

The combat seems fairly simple but they want you to use your powers. Don't just hack and slash. Freeze enemies, freeze the foot of the giant boss, elemental stricken enemies drop better materials, use telekinesis to toss explosive plants, they do more damage than your sword.

I unlocked the first new power it's basically a vortex that pulls enemies into a spot so you can use other powers attacks.

I'll be playing through more. Hopefully it has some more systems and tricks to show off.
