It's funny cuz I just sat and had some traditional coffee with the fam.
Coffee is from Ethiopia originally, it's mainly found in the Sidamo region in the south. At that time it was known as the Kingdom of Kaffa and was a favorite of the Ethiopian court and later became a tradition within Ethiopian culture. Kaffa beans found their way to the French through Arab traders and they called it "Coffee". But uhh yeah, we're extremely prideful of our culture because of all those things you mentioned. I'm most proud of the fact that we stood as a symbol of Black Power and Pride at a time where white supremacy was rampant and Ethiopia opened her arms to the many repatriating Black people from America and the Caribbean. Ethiopia played an important role in Pan Africanism and the decolonisation of Africa.
We're not at all perfect and I think the perception on here is that we're some super special type of Black people but we the same.
