Ethiopian Airlines crashes on way to Kenya

I'll preface my comments by saying RIP to the 157 souls lost in this incident/accident. May your your family's loss not be in vain and the NTSB prevents any future incidents of the same...

Now, literally just woke up(slept in) and this is the 1st alert I see buzzing on my phone. The first thing that goes through my head...please dont let it be a 'max 8'

I'm still reading transcripts as released by the FAA on the Atlas Air Crash(Amazon) and now this?! It has been sometime since we've had disasters in 3's. I'm sure I'll end up spending a lot of time discussing this on our private boards

on one hand, it is new worthy to see the actual crash

But I would be hella pissed, seeing my family member sprawled out on the ground for the world to see, dead Social media death for views brehs

I was in Tobago a few years back right after the election. It was about 5 am and I was driving to Scarborough and there was an accident on the side of the road. I saw a couple dead people but didn’t think nothing of it. Later that day at my cousins house they were showing me photos of the scene. Apparently, my cousins were at the same party drinking and driving. My family lives 3 minutes from the airport. Apparently that’s a popular thing to do down there. I remember being pissed thinking that the family would see their loved ones sprawled our like that over the internet on Facebook.

RIP to all I fukking hate planes. Will never feel comfortable no matter how many times I fly. I understand it’s safer than a car but I’ve had this phobia since I was a younger and it just feels scary as hell.

It's the second new 737 Max to crash, this one is similar to the Lion Air, as it happened several minutes after takeoff.

The Lion Air crash wasn't pilot error.

I’m trying to figure out when will Boeing figure out they have a problem and to pull those planes out of service ASAP

Only 45 of these planes have been sold so far and fukking 2 have already crashed. Thats an appalling safety record.

I will NOT be flying in these coffins again.

that's 4% of the planes being death traps. Imagine if they sell hundreds or thousands.

In 2017 no one died in a plane crash

I've flown somewhere 8 of the last 9 years. Guess which year I didnt go anywhere?
