"rap" is probably a good example

something some musicians did in music with rhyming and telling a story

now there is a whole genre named after it:ehh:
the term "rap" origin is non musical and precedes Hip Hop

the oldest recorded use of simp unearthed thus far is actually old cac slang. the coli had a thread on this already

cacs have rediscovered simp not other Black people...
the cults groups with of cac hives that use that word alot, were influenced by ADOS swag/game of how to deal with women.

its why cacs in those circles look to black relationship advisors, playas, etc on how to deal with women.

they didnt get the word "simp" from that movie. They got it from ADOS people who been using that word and turned it to what it is now.

nice try tho leech.

May I remind you that there's a "gender war" going on and things don't look good if they don't change quickly. Many women are very disappointed. You need to wake up to the facts.

If this is the representation you are talking about, it means you don't get it.

im more so alluding to the fact of how we as a community describe ourselves in general. but thanks for this. i knew the term was older but not that old.

your very likely right, im just referring to the most recent meaning of what it meant to some just prior to hip hop

The first Africans knew they came from the same continent, but weren't from the same "tribe", so from early on they referred to themselves Africans. It goes back further to the earliest days. This is your history and your ancestors.

This channel (NewBlackKnowledge/ NBK) spoke on this history, but the videos have been taken down. The content makers call it quits, because the channel is constantly sabotaged by Black people (ADOS).

Grow up. This is not about "other communities". Too many Black men procrastinate and look for excuses.

the development of words, and words that change in menaing is interesting in regards to Black americans given our history and what we do with words.

most popular examples of the changing of words is how we describe ourselves

from titles like Colored, Negro, Black, African American, ADOS/FBA etc

and on a more silly and juvenile note you got things like how nikkas described p*ssy

when i hear songs like this with the first line being about daz waking up out of some bomb ass "cock"
OCk_8Yh7DRzJKal2j1dInJy9qBfTWdlW37SxZYudxOG-K6_-lrPQQrmuX1U7-7xKHMKjG7X5VhrRzIBCGv2w-ZKyF9bNo-XFpq1cJlHF1SRM948=s0-d-e1-ft

i always wondered why "cock" was used and was it common or was p*ssy the norm? nikkas just tried to be different?

Anyways what are some examples you guys can think off?

The word is cott

its one of the dumbest lines of logic:mjlol:

First of all, it gets you nowhere close to where u need to be, in terms of origin

1- things captured in media such as slang, doesn't mean it started there

Slang floats around cultures long before it reaches that point

it has no linear progression to the "simp" people are using now

Ados speak English...... its not a stretch that, in the vast ether of the anglophone- that someone shortened simpleton to simp a couple times:mjlol:

still has nothing to do with the modern iteration coming from us

They like to play this game all the time
