Stans use the governing body fee excuse. I feel like you can cover the fees in negotiations , especially with the kind of leverage floyd had so it always seemed weird. Would have to look back at every time he trashed a belt but I wonder if he avoided certain mandatories by doing that

but not many guys in the last 25 years can say they were UNDISPUTED CHAMPION and a lot has to do with the ABC organizations themselves and not wanting to Unify for whatever reason. The IBF was notorious for years stripping guys or not allowing unifications hence fighters usually vacating for bigger paydays AND a belt.
