Even Kobe wants to be like Steph

Got that 7-11 against Minny and just started going wild from downtown. 11+ threes in 4 straight games.



I don't think he's ever done that in his career....though he did already have a 51 threes in 5 games stretch earlier this year:

He's on pace to hit a career high with 7 threes/game this season, even though he's at the lowest minutes/game and lowest shots/game of his career since he became a starter. Not to mention that he's shooting them at 28%.

IIs Kobe going with the NBA trend of the three-ball being worth all that, or is he just fukking around because his team sucks? Even when he was shooting 27 shots/game for a crap team, he wasn't putting up threes at this rate.

He gets streaky and then just keeps going for him.

He settles for them too often as he's lost the speed to beat defenders off the dribble consistently and probably gets too tired from having to do it all game. His legs are shot though so threes are usually flat. Hard to watch in some games, but that's our tank commander. Giving up his stats for the greater good.

I think he should stop with the 3's and take more midrange and post shots but 3's are basically the easiest shots for him to throw up.
