dude... most nikkas had shortt cuts when I was a kid... but you did come across fros, rat tails, braids and dreads.... all of these nikkas have fought and Ive never seen a male get his hair pulled.... not saying the unwritten rules are true.... but Ive never in life seen that shyt. and nikkas was fighting in elementary and jhs all day.... if there wasn't some type of "code" or whatever you wanna call it all fights would begin and end with a shot to the nuts

why even square up? you dont like a nikka just field goal kick him in the balls and ypu dont gotta fight at all right? just pull out a gun or a knife and end it quick

end of the day fighting was about being tough. . there is nothing tough aboyt pulling a fellow males hair... but then again theres a difference between gang fights, random 1 on 1 between to regular hood nikkas and school kids.... gang fights I know there's no kind of rules at all.

Honestly at school and in the area we would organise fights. Like if we argued and agreed to fight there would be a few rules. Most important being - when everyone watching says it’s done. It’s done. Or if dude is getting beats and asks to end it, you should end it.

You probably get told to stop pulling hair and fight properly but it never came up.
