even though it looks trash now, there's something real charming about these early 3D games. felt like every month there was some groundbreaking title being released. there was a sense of wonder and awe that you don't really get nowadays. console gaming was moving away from being considered kids toys and starting to mature as a medium. it was a real pure and exciting time to be a gamer.

yeah, 3 dimensional gaming was a huge and exciting advance for people who grew up with Atari, NES and SEGA Genesis.
it was also very natural and intuitive being that we live in a physical world of 3 dimensions.

A lot of games had better gameplay, deeper content, everything. Games now concentrate too much on graphics and multiplayer. Fps shooters for example, both single and multi were fun. Nowadays you might as well be buying most fps for multiplayer alone cuz single player youre basically playing a big ass cutscene with some real action in between:scusthov:
