Do you pay attention to college athletics? This shyt happens damn near 10 times a year to an athlete a major school. A nikka at USC just lost his scholarship over this and wasn't even found guilty. Men rarely even come forward if it's violent assault whether the perpetrator is female or male so there's a long way to go there.
Plenty of people still think prison rape is suitable as a punchline or punishment.
The number of silent victims dwarfs that of the falsely accused but Reddit types like to focus the issues around sexual assault to vengeful promiscuous party girls flexing the power of femininity combined with vulnerability over jilted lovers simply for the desire to fukk up a person's life. The 'what about false rape accusations' crowd don't care about black men being falsely accused (especially if the woman isn't black), they barely accept that rape of black women is a thing (because eww, black hoes), they don't look at actual statistics, they definitely give zero shyts about male victims.
False accusations are a very serious, if rare, issue with horrifying consequences but this 'movement' uses it to attack the little progress made against sexual assault issues and as a "so there" when those stories and stats come up the way white asshats respond to Black Lives Matter with all lives matter or blue lives matter or bring up 'what about black on black crime' or search the hell outta Google for a murder of a white person by a black person when police brutality or inequality in every aspect of the justice system is brought up. They ain't genuine.
of course theres a double standard. we all know this, and men should adjust their behavior accordingly, for their own protection.Ok, by that logic, why isn't the female facing charges is both are drunk? Why is the accountability solely on the male? Do you not see a major double standard with that?
Or we could just get the consent app. Also if we're gonna let double standards for men rock why should anyone be against slut shaming?
