Def feels like one of those movies with a near perfect concept/idea that was doomed by questionable direction, studio fukkery and writing. Alien 3 comes to mind too. There are some really great scenes, images, acting etc in there but overall it just falls apart.

I hate remakes but I'd love to see a remake of this, taking it in a slightly different direction and hopefully having better writing.
