This sounds exactly like my brother! I recently started a business and he is always arguing me that I think I'm smarter than him. He thinks he's smart because he focus on little things and I tell him I have to think about alotta shyt as well as plan ahead. I told bro if you are smarter than me start your own business and run it. My brothers feel like they know it all and don't realize how much that is holding them back.

There are a lot of successful but stupid entrepreneurs... they were smart enough to identify a need people weren't even aware they had.

I implore all black men to start a business. Not just any business though. Something you have knowledge in or a trade.

Two clients came to me once and both wanted to start a similar business and asked for advice on how to best go about it. One came fully prepped and had picked out a swanky office in town, designed his letterhead, worked out expenses etc etc... The other had none of this and simply said "I can buy these here for Y and those over there will pay Z because they're crying out for it".

The latter ran his biz entirely from his mobile with zero overhead and expanded ridiculously quick whilst the former did everything he thought he needed except what was actually needed, even after it had been pointed out what he was focusing on was superfluous as he only wanted me to confirm what he already thinks whereas the other dude just wanted to know the best way to go about it and stop the supplier jacking his connect in order to protect his interests as he spotted a gap in the market.

I call it the difference between telescope living and microscope thinking.

What a motivating thread, Coli needs more of this realness.
