The car was getting searched anyway. Where was he supposed to put it. You gave it too him. Once the officer says step out of the car, they are looking for any suspicious movement like i dont know, putting a gun under a seat or opening a glove compartment to conceal it. You should have just stashed it under the seat. Maybe you didnt expect him to get searched. Perhaps you got desperate at the thought of a gun charge and just handed it to him without thinking. Whats he supposed to do with the gun that you couldnt do with the gun. THeres only one place to put it, under the seat.
