Yeah, this is true. The ones I mentioned were more acquaintances than friends.

But I have a good friend I went to school with and I never found out what his surname was. Its been a bytch trying to find him on Facebook.

If you knew him by a nickname and not his real name then that's normal. Lots of people get called by a nickname. If you didn't know his name and had to rely on just saying hey you or not saying his name at all, then it's his parents fault for not teaching him how to properly introduce himself. How are you gonna even save his number if you don't know his name? Listed under buddy from school who's name I don't know?

I was mainly known as Bootlegg the whole time in high school from freshman year to senior. Most people only knew my name if they had a class with me or knew me besides that, people were like when my real name was said

that ain't ya friend. but yeah, there are people i've known for awhile that i never learned their name. im also pretty forgetful so i have no issue asking people, no matter how long we've known each other.

chances are if you don't know theirs, they don't know yours. at least in my experience.
