Ever wondered how Mexicans started speaking Spanish mainly?

Because it was in their home stadium with majority people. A lot of Asian and African countries in the same position kept languages, I just wondered the how
Those African and Asian countries r still mostly composed of the indigenous pop. Cant say the same for Mexico tho.

If any of yall really interested in researching more about the topic, there's a good chapter on it in a book called Empire of the Word: A Language History of the World by Nicholas Ostler. If you interested in languages and the history of languages like me, it's a must-read.

i'm not suprised the original languages of central america died out. with everyone learning spanish there was no reason to teach it to their children. in the more secluded parts of central america people still speak older languages or variations of it

They didn't die out there's hella languages in Latin America it's just Americans think all Latinos speak Spanish

It's like saying all Africans speak Swahili
