I don't give a shyt about what they're doing. They're exercising their first amendment rights and stepping up for something they believe in. I don't care if they're "right" or not. I agree threatening people is not cool, though

I don't know how credible the "threats" were. White people think any black person raising their voice is threatening them.
I'm just sayin', this type of behavior isn't acceptable for 6 year olds so why should we be tolerating it from adults?
and IMO, the real problem lies with the school for allowing this to build up and even get to this point. They should know as much as anyone that young ppl, and especially poc are frustrated with the BS they go through in their lives in America.
But they also have to learn that there are acceptable ways to do things without hurting themselves in the process. like the other dude was saying he doesn't care if they get expelled, and that it was their right to do this.
why though? why should they be expelled? how does that make this situation better?
I don't want to see these kids expelled, I just want them to be taught that this type of behavior is extremely counterproductive, and shouldn't be tolerated. and that they should be taught productive ways to deal with matters that you don't agree with.
what I don't understand is why ppl IN HERE, are fighting against that.
There is nothing wrong with protest, and there is nothing wrong with voicing your opinion and trying to get your point across. However, in none of these videos or interviews was this displayed. all I saw was a bunch of children kicking and screaming (as well as some faculty acting real immature setting a terrible example) and going on a witchhunt.
If you understand anything about behavior modification, or any behavioral psychology you will learn that this type of behavior, when reinforced only gets stronger. that is why this type of behavior needs to be punished.
