Shame on some of ya'll, the ancestors would be shame

Dont mind me, honestly I was riding a trail that ran through donated farm land and ran up on some grazing cows. I had to avoid alot of poop and there were some calfs so the mothers were a bit aggressive. I rode by slow, them looking at me and me looking at them.

Tbh, i think we had some of the most conservative ancestors in the ancient world. I think youd get the sane response in 1423 as you’d get in 2023.

Not necessarily. I got knocked off my bike by a wild hog on a trail in a residential neighborhood in f’n Dallas two summers ago
Yeah we had wild javelinas/pigs everywhere. Folks were getting PAID to hunt and remove/kill the pigs.

Coyotes ain't messing with them. Even smaller mountain lions would have to be careful. You need something the size of a bear to reliably take those things out (since tigers and jaguars don't roam Dallas).

I'ma get some good footage with my gopro this year. I'm actually taking my bike into the shop tomorrow because my dropper post is slipping.

yea there are walking/riding trails not that far from me I've hiked around before but its all flat...I'm sure I could find something a little more intense...I work with a guy sometimes who has some crazy ass bike I rode it around the parking lot once it was crazy....I asked the ticket and he said "wasn't cheap" I could damn near lift the bike up with two fingers :russ:

what would be a good entry level model?

man I've seen videos of "hunting trips" where people get flown around in choppers with choppers cutting down those beats :damn:

has nothing to do with being conservative.... I dont get your logic here tbh

we did things in Africa like this when I was a kid. My father and grandfather used to ride/swim waves without surfboard(no exaggeration). There was no TV to tell them it was dangerous or they could drown, as drowning was rare(maybe they knew what they were doing?). Television(evolved now into internet/ntework) trains people(especially black people) on what to be afraid of most times. Not that it's all bad.

Especially urbanites, people have gotten softer over time, moreso the ones who live in cities..

It depends. I rock a full suspension and technically my shyt is entry-to mid tier. I can just replace the parts with higher ones. It's better the buy something you can build off of because if you get stuck with something entry level you won't be able to resell for as much and it's limited on what you can do.

I have a diamondback but that's only because I couldn't get the trek that I wanted. The trek ex fuel is good but also the specialized strumpjumper is dope too. You can cop anywhere between 1800- 2500. Good luck finding the one you want in stock though. It'll probably be easier now (I don't know what the market looks like) I just couldn't find those two when I had the money and was ready to purchase.
