that wasn't a QT movie tho

these are the only QT directed movies... and yes... some of them are trash

2015The Hateful Eight
2012Django Unchained
2009Inglourious Basterds
2007Death Proof
2007Grindhouse (segment "Death Proof")
2004Kill Bill: Vol. 2
2003Kill Bill: Vol. 1
1997Jackie Brown
1994Pulp Fiction
1992Reservoir Dogs
1987My Best Friend's Birthday

My best friends birthday was never completed and it's an amateur film. Grindhouse is a Robert Rodriguez movie.

But the rest are all classics. Fun fact: Tarantino actually did most of the camera work on death proof.

I gotta rewatch Jackie brown. I don't remember it being on any classic level

Hateful 8 was definitely not a classic. Watching nikkas have long boring conversations for 80% of the movie in a damn western

Jackie Brown has become his most underrated film.

I think people were expecting another Pulp Fiction or a straight up blaxsplotation film. Jackie Brown at it's core is a crime thriller. Because it's an adaptation it doesn't have any of those well written but out of nowhere monologues that ultimately have nothing to do with the plot. It's definitely his tightest film.

Death Proof:fire: was the last Tarrantino flick I enjoyed:ehh:

...I have no inclination to ever watch DJango, Hateful 8, and inglorious b*stard:yeshrug:

I'm still waiting for Beatrice Kiddo/Vernita Green daughters to Go HAM with revenge, tho:demonic:

Django is good as long as you go into knowing it's just a western revenge film with slavery as a backdrop. Too many people tried hyping that movie up as the first "real" movie about slavery and people still don't realize how much shyt in that movie isn't historically accurate.

Hateful 8 was much better than I expected. I went in with low expectations but came way impressed. It could be a bit shorter, especially one monologue in particular by Sam Jackson. :scusthov:

I really like Death Proof, maybe it's because it's my love of horror movies combined with loving his dialogue and characters so it felt like a perfect mix to me. Kurt Russell is great in that movie.

I've enjoyed all of his films.

As far as a "classic" filmography, the person who comes closest is Stanley Kubrick.

edit: Also Wes Anderson and Paul Thomas Anderson
