Anyone old enough to remember Onyx - Slam? Huge hit. That was the first time i remember dudes really bumping into each other. They didn't know if they should break someone's jaw or keep dancing.

Ante Up...
True story.

There used to be a club in Philly back in the day called Space...maaaan I seen these cats chillin' at a couple tables, bein nondescript with bottles....soon as "Ante Up" came on, their WHOLE energy as a group changed.....by the end of the song, it was, like, three different fights involving dudes from them two tables.

Hell, when I was goin to law school in Omaha, I used to hit up this club on the Southside called South Seven, I think (or something close to that)...and I NEVER saw a time where that C-Murder jawn was played and a fight DIDN'T break out. :russ:

I always wondered if that came from their punk rock/skateboarder background, before the group was formed....yunno, that whole "group slam dance" thing.

Also, I've never researched this, but I know it's gotta be MAD subliminals out there by either Busta or Redman talmbout Onyx stealin' their style.
