Christmas isn’t even pretending to be about anything but an excuse to shop now. People are seeing this fake corporate propaganda for what it is now.

Remember all of those “we care” ads during the pandemic? Every company suddenly grew a heart, but didn’t change shyt and hiked up their prices?

People remember and even though they may not be able to put a finger on why, they don’t care as much any more. People are tired of being lied to and subconsciously Santa Claus was one of the first big lies they were told.

Some of those people still have a difficult time recognizing the truth. They knew something was wrong, but got misled a while back into bs theories like pizzagate, etc. and trolling they now believe are real, in part because they don’t want to admit they’ve been suckered again.







Not to mention truth is not absolute and varies depending on perspective.

Yeah. My aunt who usually hosts Christmas, says she’s not having anyone over, and that she gonna stay in bed. I was invited someplace, but I think I’m gonna stay home too. Don’t feel like going out.

We did meet up a couple of weeks ago for a little family reunion/Christmas dinner. I guess that was enough.

People are tired, broke, and many of their family members have social media brainrot so it's a fukking chore to be around them.

Plus if you're 30+ unless you've been blessed, you've more than likely have experienced the death of a few friends and family members, and the holidays is just another reminder that they ain't here. Death really been showing it's natural born ass the past five years or so

Thanksgiving is when we do the big get together and family time. Christmas everyone does their own thing, I mainly like to rest tbh.

Now that I have a child I’ll be doing the gift opening and fancy meal but it’s never been a huge event per se.
