I'm happy if we just play SloMo and JSimms more minutes. Our perimeter defense improves with JSimms on the floor. Would love for JSimms to be able to take some of Tony's minutes.

The front court isn't the problem.

Danny Green, Tony Parker, and Manu Ginoubli are the problem. You need a dominant wing in this league now. Tony used to be that guy. He's now more of a bench player.

Replace Parker with Kirk Heinrich brehs

:mjlol:
Ok so maybe not Kirk :pachaha: but you get my point nikka
:dahell: "Again"? the Spurs didn't have to do shyt and they still were top 3. Now that Durant went to Golden State the west is a two team race between GS and the Spurs.
Unless Kawhi and LA have dominant seasons combined, there's no way this Spurs team are a top 2 team this season stop it. The Blazers will be back and better, the Clippers are always right there they just can't stay healthy, the Rockets will be looking to bounce back after a down year, we don't know how OKC is going to do with Russ as their leader, and etc. You can never count out the Spurs but I don't see them winning 50+ games this year

Pau will help them but they need an upgrade at the guard spots. Parker and Manu are long in the tooth and need to get plenty of rest. Mills is what he is at this point and Simmons isn't the answer. I think the Spurs should make a play for someone like Dion Waiters. If anyone can reign him in and get him to buy into the system it's Popovich and the Spurs. Give him or someone like Ty Lawson a chance and I think the Spurs will be ok. But they have to have a slasher at guard who can get to the rack.

Waiters is terrible

He's not a guy SA needs.

They need a young SG who can get better

All the Spurs need is a point guard, they need to move on from Tony Parker man, he would be great off the bench. Jarrett Jack is still out there, or Kirk Hinrich, a great 3 & D player. They fill their holes in the back court and their a top 3 team in the west again

Parker is better than those guys :mjlol:

A damn shame Mike Conley decided to stay with the Grizzlies. But I can understand, they seem like very loyal guys over there.

Are there any other notable PGs out there?

Spurs are just fine...

Gasol solves every single one of their big men problems...a real live threat to score facing up or his back to the basket...excellent passer...FAR BETTER rebounder than diaw and west combined...and more importantly...allows Lamonsta to stay at the 4 full time if he wants...i am sure his defense will be at least adequate as nobody every called aldridge a good defender and to me he was a borderline all nba defender last year...

Diaw is no great loss as Kyle Anderson was drafted specifically to replace him...it's year 3 for Kyle and he going to be splitting his time between the 3 and 4 so it's time to find out if he can do it or not...

They got a guy on the bubble in Jonathan Simmons...dude is sticking out in the dleague now as a real life nba player playing with a bunch of rookies and fringe guys...tossed up an effortless 30 something points today...effortlessly pinned some dude layup against the backboard just cause he could...i was actually hoping manu retired this year cause i want simmons to have his minutes...simmons should actually be starting over green...

point guard...yeah i don't think it's a good idea for mike conley to have a third of your cap...would have loved to have delly...but it is what it is...good news is that mills can't play much worse than he did last year...parker is washed but i don't care...he has done so much for this team in his career i'm down to watch him start piling up those 2 point games like he did last year...

Bertans and Murray are excellent young prospects...all Simmons needs is minutes dude is ready to blow right now...

The GOAT organization has officially outlasted OKC...:scheming:...now it's time to outlast the warriors:scheming: ...and their one title in what...43 years :mjlol:

Are you serious you realize neither the Blazers nor the Rockets would have made the playoffs in the eastern conference last year? What exactly did they add to make them better than the team that just set the record for most home wins in a season? The Clippers have always been a distant 4th seed and will only be a 3rd because OKC lost Durant. How do you not see the Spurs not winning 50 games??? What did they lose that makes you suggest this? Did you not watch them play last year?

@Collateral are you high my nikka? So you know the last time the Spurs won less than 50 games was during the 98 lockout season. Before that the last time they won less than 50 was the season before Tim Duncan came to the team. It's been two decades since they haven't won less than 50 games and you think this season of all seasons will be the first? A season after they set the record for most home games in the regular season.

Parker/Mills/Murray(in and out of D-League)
Green/Simmons/Ginobili
Leonard/Anderson
Aldridge/Bertans(in and out of D-League)
Gasol

I'll say it again, i'm hoping SA is calling up Leandro and T. Robinson right now. Heck, call up Jarret Jack and see if he wants to come in for the minimum. Give Parker some rest during games where we dont gotta play him

Parker/Mills/Murray
Green/Barbosa/Ginobili
Leonard/Simmons/Bertans
Aldridge/Anderson/Duncan
Gasol/T. Robinson

Give me this and i'll be very satisfied

Spurs stans :snoop: so we're going to sit here and act like every year they will be a top 2 team with no less than 50 wins. Age doesn't factor into any of this apparently. Look at their roster. This is arguably their weakest roster in a very long time. Look at the pieces they have to complement Kawhi. Old and unathletic. Not to mention they got even slower with Pau as their 5 when everyone else is playing small. They are washed my nikka there is no way in hell they are a 2nd seeded team this year, again, unless Kawhi and LA carry them to be that team.
