damn good episode.....as for the classic argument: joe answered his own question...the difference between an amazing album and a classic album is personal preference & opinion....but people ignore that when talking about classics and go with the majority cause they want their tastes to be similar to others...fukk that...classic to me doesnt mean it has to be classic to anyone else; and vice versa.....

i dont know about most classics, but to me, kanye, pac, outkast, and jay have the best discographies in rap....there are other artists that have good to great discographies, but those 4, i can grab any album and ride out to it....whenever i go on road trips, i always make sure i grab at an album from 2 of them at least.....
in this case, that doesnt apply....when talking about music and what you think is a classic, we are talking about personal preference/tastes.....it's all opinion, nothing factual....so there is no right/wrong side...you dont have to agree, just respect the other person's opinion.....

joe budden fukked up saying the love below came out in 01.. it came out in 03 only 5 years before 808s and a lot of the singles were still in rotation in 04-05 only 3 years before..
his dumbass mistake gave akademiks an excuse to be ignorant about an album he SHOULD have knowledge about considering how mainstream it was and considering he was listening to rap at the time... talking about "I was 9 bro".. no nikka u was 14
theres 3 skippable tracks on mbdtf, hell of a life and the last 2 tracks.. blame game and runaway isnt one of them.. although kanye did get killed on social media when he premiered runaway at the vma's

yes, if he/she feels the album is classic for his/herself...the same way there are cult classics (things deemed classic by only a certain group/few), there are personal classics...
classic status involves the things you just dismissed......for something to be called classic means the majority of the public's opinions about something based off their personal preference/enjoyment, happens to be the same...which is cool...now, when that opinion is different from the majority, doesnt mean it's wrong, it just means it's different....but that doesnt mean someone has to change how they feel/think about something....the only reason people do is cause they want to be included/apart of the group....
