TBC doesnt only rely on interviews. They are dope without them. They focus solely on hip hop. these are 2 different lanes.

They also dont only focus on hip hop -- they just had great interviews with chris rock and trey songz and big sean and troy ave and Ti and jhene aiko and trevor noah and gucci mane and ed sheeran etc --- they get millions of views still :laugh:

Going by just numbers you may or may not see it, but their "status" isn't the same as it was roughly 2 years ago and their spot isn't as ironclad. They're not the same "must watch interview everytime" that they once were. If Everyday Struggle got more rappers to come on the show they'd take TBC's spot as the top interview spot. They are reaching towards the underserved younger demo with Akademiks. If there was an outlet hosted by yungins it would shoot to the top spot easily right now.

TBC thrives on drama and now more and more top artists are seeing this and not going their or holding back what they say, especially since they see it's more options. Say what you want but Hot 97's interviews are consistently putting up some real good YT numbers.

I mean I see no problem with that if the albums don't measure up to the hype or expectation and with all 4 of those cats he named it pretty much applies. Joe been a fan of all them cats and he's been saying it for years on his podcast Tory more so than Tiller but he's genuine when he gives his opinion. Some people can't take the criticism and call it hate. He just says what he feels about the music and is unapologetic about it
