This won't last 3 months. Akademiks is a dork who knows nothing about music, has no camera presence, and is just awkward and corny in general. He's a black Bill Simmons. Joe will get bored/annoyed and Akademiks will be shown the door or show will be disbanded.
Complex creative staff have absolutely no idea of what works. They're daily content is literally 3 sentence articles followed by jokes lifted off Twitter by actual creative people. This is why they can't put together anything original, because they spend all day trolling for other people's ideas. The culture vulture is real.

I'm sure they approached Joe to do that, but he probably turned it down. Complex did a terrible job with Combat Jack on their platform so he did the right thing.
The geniuses at complex probably thought "Joe has a lot of followers.

Talking about "Selling" "Records" in 2017 is like Getting your music from Columbia house. Nobody buys "records" The business model has changed and he is one of the first people that actually figured it out.
