Nah he needs it on a "hip-hop tastemaker" level because Breakfast Club has been absolutely forgotten the last few months. Char may be personally popping but I can't remember the last time Breakfast Club had some actual must watch interviews that were talked about. I check the Youtube feeds and see uninteresting guest after uninteresting guest. Even Hot 97's been getting better guests and interviews. It's gotten to the point where if a major artist does a promo run, the BC interview is the least compelling. Been super dry out here for BC and Everyday Struggle has the potential to take their place.
I personally can't get with Everyday Struggle for reasons everybody else has already said (Joe is a cranky Old Head, AK gets punked everytime he speaks and can't articulate his internet swiped talking points, etc). But, there is a definite opening for someone to take Breakfast Club's spot as the premier place for interviews and hip-hop talk.
Forgotten by who? Lol. its the biggest morning show in the country LOL
hot 97 sucks.
TBC doesnt only rely on interviews. They are dope without them. They focus solely on hip hop. these are 2 different lanes.
They also dont only focus on hip hop -- they just had great interviews with chris rock and trey songz and big sean and troy ave and Ti and jhene aiko and trevor noah and gucci mane and ed sheeran etc --- they get millions of views still
yall just make things up lol
yall so fickle and create these random stats lol
TBC is still popping and Charla just signed a 5 year deal recently (he said it on joe's podcast today)
if anything -- joe podcast is falling off and trash now cause buddens covers all theyre topics on complex show
