Doesn't it seem like Ace ended up taking a lot of influence from Em, in terms of technical lyricism, flow, and rhyme schemes

Way much more usage of stacked 3-4 syllable verses that Eminem used a looooot.

I feel like I hear how Em could've taken some influence from Ace but I really see it as the other way around. I see way more of a connection with Disposable Arts to Em's work before that album

Saw a thread about this on an old forum I used to post on and agree.

Ace was more than aware of the fact that he was considered Em's biggest influence. He was also aware of how big Em was at the time so sounding more like him would be to Ace's advantage.

Yea, I don't think you necessarily sound like your biggest influences. A lot of people say my raps sound like Mac Miller but I only fukked with one album of his. I just thought it was crazy cause I listened to DA before anything else Ace did and I was like I definitely see the comparison, but I really got into Sittin on Chrome and also peeped Take A Look Around and it's so different.

Yeah Ace's style defintely changed in the gap between Chrome and Disposable Arts. I dunno if he was specifically influenced by Em but yeah I can hear that.
