BEEN tired of that wack ass nonsense....especially from r&b singers like WHYYYY smh

Dog, R&B cats been tryna be rappers for years. That's what fukked it up. As legendary as they are i feel it started with Jodeci. They still could sing & did it well but that's when
alot of hip-hop & r&b got mixed because people forget that at one time r&b was extremely popular & way more marketable. To help rap crossover they added more melody & had
r&b singers on it. The idea from Puffy & the execs at the time was to cross-market Jodeci both to hip-hop & r&b. Had them looking like any ol' street cat but still blowing like Marvin..

It worked well..

But in the early-mid 00's r&b caught the heat cus of the growth of hip-hop. Then everybody became a rapper. Trey Songz is marketed and carries himself as a rapper. Dog
can barely sing IMO. Chris Brown dances more than singing & dude is walking around tryna be like 2pac. The list goes on.

IMO ppl sleep on the fact that hip-hop generation had a damaging effect on hip-hop going down. I may be considered a hip-hop generation baby but i still listened to various music. Always. Hip-hop
is built on taking pieces from other genres & creating your own. What happens when the only thing these lil fukk nikkas & bytches came up on was mainstream hip-hop & nothing else? Nothing more musically driven, nothing with more content more than bytches/cars & money & ain't shyt as artists?

Tiller is alright with me(trapsoul), but I do think there needs to be more distinction between being a rapper and being a singer. Way too many time where I've been hearing rappers trying to sing and singers trying to rap.:francis:

If you're a rapper just rap and if you're a singer just sing. We don't need anymore hybrids.:dame:
Yeah Tiller is rapping. I've been saying that isn't r&b. Chris Brown (Moses) is rapping now too. Jeremih is rapping but that's some kind of hybrid that I'm getting into :ehh:

im just tired of these part time singer part time rapper ass nikkas, tory lanez bryson tiller ass nikkas, take care inspired me to make music ass nikkas:pacspit:

its a shame when r&b nikkas are rapping about harder shyt than the full time rappers

Tory Lanez is a better singer than Drake ,reps real Toronto and writes his own shyt as well as others....he can freestyle off the top too

Bryson is Jeremih light on OVO production.

Jay Electronica used that flow too...

What's scary is true vocalists like Trey and Chris Brown doing Future impressions

OP is right, rappers are jumping on the bandwagon but I guess its always been like that through the eras. Every big rapper is guilty of this, they chase what is popping off at the moment, lose their identity in the process and the fans stop following. Was it worth it? 99% of the time, hell fukking NO.

As much as Snoop has some :snoop: moments (ironic I know), he hit the nail on the head with this.

Another thing kind of related, rappers are so scared to say and do what they really think. Even Pusha T last week coming to Meek's defence was p*ssyfooting. Say what you mean. If you don't like something or someone, say it and keep it moving. shyt pisses me off. Its going in the right direction but its going at a snails pace.

Ehhhhhh.... Honestly I think these newer dudes have LOTS of new flows now... Majority of them are alllllll flow/adlibs.... And production.... A LOT of these rappers should have theses dudes help on their projects to be honest.
All of this. I been meaning to tell my boys about the adlib shyt too.
