I have been to DR Congo, South Africa, USA, and Canada...

I get people who travel to a different country, work there, live there, play there, have sex with people from that country and when they come home they can speak a different language or two, have good friends from a different culture and such...

But people who just go to a different country just to say I saw this mountain and that building...

That's kind of lame...

Anyway, I am a vortex of depression, life is kind of pointless in my philosophy...

Carry on...

stay up breh, i've been there, and ironically enough, it was international travel that soothed and exacerbated it

I'm going to the Dominican Republic in May. :stylin:

I'm gonna try to aim to travel twice a year to different destinations. Later in the year I wanna go to Jamaica to visit family I haven't seen in a while.

You mean your old earth is never going broke again :usure:

Your back up plan is staying there while you work on your engineering degree and then traveling the world until she gets fed up with your shyt. :rudy:

These richie rich dreams can only last so long. :obamaword:

That real world's going to hit you hard.

Not a job in this world that pays a bunch of money without a bunch of hours in it, unless you're about to elevate to boss status overnight. :stopitslime:

Unless you're about to hit up your fam's homeland and cook there. But then there'd be less pawgin.

Havana was a real eye opener for whilst I was there.

Never saw anywhere in the world that was like that, the old crumbling buildings and the old cars, really amazing.

Swam with dolphins in veradero in probably the worst case of animal cruelty I've ever been involved in, Thomson should be ashamed of themselves for having that excursion on their brochures, dirty fukking water and half starved seals.

My resort in Dominican Republic was better though, but I never went their equivalent of Havana, just drove through the country style streets in a jeep with some Russians, shanty town style, they were drying meats out in the sun, fukking flies everywhere, also rid a horse out there on an excursion and the fattest American lady rid one, She must've weighed up to 300 pounds and thd horse was the skinniest ice ever seen, you could tell even the horse was thinking :childplease: :heh:

I mean I hear that, but for (1) I don't have to wear a suit and tie to work everyday. Only when dealing with clients, and I like wearing suits anyway. Got it from my grandfather :whew:

(2) I value living it up as much as anyone, and I'll still be able to do that (just only on weekends). I could go back to my parents' native country and do the same thing (lord knows they need it, and I'll probably do business there with my cousin at some point), but I'm too ambitious for that and I'd be giving up a lot in quality of life. For example, I'd get bored living in your family's native country after probably two months. I appreciate being able to make your own schedule and live free while one is young, but there are a lot of people that I want to build with here.

Besides, the legal field has more occupational switching than any other field in the US. Going to chill in a third world country isn't going to do anything to help me move up the ladder and I'm not the big fish in a small pond type. :manny:

Yeah i feel you. More than anything I just need some time off(6 months -2 years) before I transition into "the real" workforce / grad school.

I actually like dress clothes as well, :guilty:. Just not ready for that life. :to:

If I could have my way, I'd be rocking basketball shorts and sweats everyday to work :manny:

Nah, I feel you, half the reason I went straight to law school was to prolong joining that working world for 3 more years :whoa:

Though, I probably should've taken that job that would've sent me to Hong Kong. That's like my only regret.
