And, the same job you can get anywhere as an English speaker, teaching English.
I am actually qualified for a Canadian visa btw. My missus has been looking into it. You may well be plagued with my Nigerian/Irish ass.
Ever been to Portland, Maine? Near enough to your border? My girl worked there on a three month J1 - loves the place.
Ive been to Russia, Romania and Poland too - Only felt Russia was dodgy for those of us with colour - maybe I just ran into the wrong folk.

Russia is dodgy for minorities, I was in a small town though. Was in constansta Romania beautiful city.
And nope to Portland Maine, im near the buffalo/niagara border crossings about a hour and a half. And about a 4 hours from detroit

Dont take silly risks, dont trust people that you just met and dont advertise yourself as a foreigner with a bit of money - you will be fine.
If a dude treated teaching English abroad as a proper business and not just a bagpackers job - they could do quite well for themselves. Met a lot of your fellow countrymen doing just that in Eastern Europe. They seemed to enjoy a nice lifestyle. Eat out, nice crib, sociable working hours, the ability to take extra private lessons and make some money before taking a few days off.
On the flipside of that, there were dudes getting pissed everynight and turning up hungover most days. These lads were broke ass and treated it as a working holiday.

Was in Bucharest. Had a nice meal with the missus and we went out for a few beers. I smoke after a few, so bought a pack of Lucky Strike. Things were vile.
After a few more beers, I stepped outside and some 18-21 year old approached me and asked me for a smoke. Here, doll. Take the whole pack. There are 18 left.Chick looking at me like I just gave her a winning lottery ticket.
Asked me where I was from and all that crap. Anyway, after the chit chat small talk crap she goes that she is meeting her friends and that I should call her if I wanted someone to show me around. Offered me her number, but I refused.A young brother could eat out there. And eat very well.

Yeah, the gypsies are master pickpockets. Gotta be careful around them - they never get violent though. They are originally from India, I believe. Treat people like animals, they behave just so.
I was reading an article on The Guardian online site recently. Romanians have a relatively low standard of living, when compared to us. But the young people are one of the most educated in the EU. But their politicians are one of the most corrupt. Hopefully the youth will change the place for the better. Good people.
I wanna get my travel game on again so f*cking bad.

yeah they are smart as hell, i know a romanian girl who lives in constana shes gorgeous as hell, speaks 4 languages, has her masters but gets paid like 50 euros a month as a teacher.

Havana was a real eye opener for whilst I was there.
Never saw anywhere in the world that was like that, the old crumbling buildings and the old cars, really amazing.
Swam with dolphins in veradero in probably the worst case of animal cruelty I've ever been involved in, Thomson should be ashamed of themselves for having that excursion on their brochures, dirty fukking water and half starved seals.
My resort in Dominican Republic was better though, but I never went their equivalent of Havana, just drove through the country style streets in a jeep with some Russians, shanty town style, they were drying meats out in the sun, fukking flies everywhere, also rid a horse out there on an excursion and the fattest American lady rid one, She must've weighed up to 300 pounds and thd horse was the skinniest ice ever seen, you could tell even the horse was thinking

I'm definately having a relaxing week somewhere in may/June.
Was thinking ibiza, parga in Greece or maybe sorrento.
Or just abandon somewhere new and go back to albufeira in Portugal, I've been twice in 2 years, it's easy and has everything I want for a quick break.

And I did the dolphins thing not at that nasty dolphinarum with the green water, should have done the open ocean one, so much bettee
