Everyone who talks about reparations, but I never hear an actual number?

$1 million dollars per person?

There are roughly 40 million black people in the U.S. (excluding Africans and Carribeans).

That's $40 trillion in reparations.

That's not gonna work. Even if you get the European and African nations that contributed to the slave trade to chip in.

What about $25,000. That's still $1 trillion.


So what about something more realistic like the bank bail out. That was $700 billion.

that equates to $17,500 per person.

So if everyone got $17,500 would that really make up for anything? Most will blow it within weeks. Some within days.


The time to give legit reparations was right after the civil war. And it was working with The Reconstruction, but we were sold out for electoral votes and resources were allocated to Western Expansion. I would've like for black people to be given land out west. Several states like Oregon or Washington State. Or casino's like Native Americans.


This topic isn't as simply as cutting a check. Too much time as past and the nation has evolved too much to throw around the word reparations will little to no details or substance to back it up.

What we need for the US Government to do is first admit that there is an issue here and then work with the African American community to build a program that repairs us. you cant hand wave the dollar amount away. thats theofficial, core aspect of any bill or proposal in Congress. especially after the Repubs lost their shyt over ObamaCare... which benefited all races?

This simply never going to happen... We have to be realistic.

It's a nice brain exercise, a good way to vet candidates. But not realistic in any stretch of the imagination

We have our own colleges. HBCU's. Black athletes dominate college athletics, but when I make threads saying all of those athletes to go to cac schools are c00ns, and they should go to HBCU's, I get mocked.

The civil rights movement was really about black people wanting the same opportunities as white people. We wanted to be on the same level with them. work in the same office as them. go to the same schools as them. We have all of that.

If the goal is to play catch up and have the same amount of billionaires and millionaires as them. the same amount of corporations as them, monetary reparations are not going to fix that in our lifetimes.


And free college won't benefit everyone. You forget, the fact that people have to actually graduate high school first.
