Excited for this

"Nothing to see here" has been on repeat. I find myself catching new bars every time I listen to it. It's already my favorite song off the album, can see why it was the single.

But it's the person that I'm
It goes beyond any rhyme in a verse when it's your life
No rehearsing a line, you just live it more vivid
More search and you find
A shorter way for me to say 'one day at a time'
Take my mind off of glitches that been having me lag
And stopped overthinking and get back in my bag
Some overdo it... to get respect from their peers
And showing off the shyt that they collect through the years
Sometimes, it's like a jungle, if you wonder, you're dead
I do the work then I stumble on bread
Every year every month have been covered by God
I say the words to the DAW with all I got in my heart
I'm not an actor, I'm a rapper who ain't playing a part

:wow::wow::wow::wow:

Ev is too good at rapping about his life and the emotions he goes through

Considering that EV and Boldy both have strong cases for the most improved rapper of all time, I would love to hear a Boldy x EV project. Both rapping with EV on the beats or a Boldy over EV tape would be amazing
I'd heard they were working on a project called Concrete Evidence but I haven't heard an update on that in forever. They got 3 classics.

It’s crazy that this was a 12 week rollout of only videos. This drops in a day and a half and I’ve seen no press run or anything for this. Rhymesayers a big indie label too. I wasn’t expecting much but I figured I’d at least see him on Sway or something.

Rhymesayers are too busy letting Aesop Rock cook with kids music.

Evidence deserves a bigger look but it is what it is. My favourite single is the Step Bros joint by far, man we need another album with Ev and Alc.

Looking forward to this tomorrow though :blessed:

Ev teased Step Bros on Twitter last week, and also said hopefully Unlearning 3 is coming soon.

Listening now, definitely continues on from the first one which is no surprise based on the singles. Very low key, stream of conscious raps but still very personal as is Evs style. Beats and vibes are very similar throughout, but it feels like a complete album.

Outside of the singles I'm really fukking with "Future Memories" (that horn sample :wow: ) and "Laughing Last".

Solid album, need a few more listens to properly rank it in his discography though.

This one feels a little jazzier and lighter to me than Vol 1. Vol 1 had two super sad songs on it and Vol 2 has none, really. Dutch Angle and Seeing Double are the only ones that approach that territory but they never cross the line.

Is it just my ears or is he enunciating and pronouncing his words a little more extra on here? I think the rhyming may even be improved from the last one. Both Volumes have two amazing final 2 track runs

The only complaint is that 3 of the songs on Vol 2 have that Talking to the Audience treatment from part 1…by that I mean as a soon as I really start grooving to them, they’re over.

This project feels super artsy. Even more than the last one. And I really feel like Ev made this one for himself. Low key I get the vibe that he resents the fact that he has to release raps. I get the impression that he’d rather just produce. A lot of the bars on here hint at it. The lack of press. Almost feels like he’s just casually throwing this out there

Fire. Sebb Bash is the most underrated sample based producer in rap. Can play fire keys too. He’s ALC’s favorite producer and low key Alc has borrowed a fair amount of things from him in the past decade.
Yeah Sebb dope as hell, the track he did on Product of the 80s is one of my very favorite Prodigy joints
