I dont know about all that dolphin stuff but the 9 mile swim thing seems possible if your mind is in that do or die mode. My brother-in-law got shot 3 times in the upper back and walked 5 blocks to a hospital. Methodist in South Philly. Still to this day whenever people say "man that sound crazy" or "yo i dont even know how you did that" he just says "fukk was i supposed to do? Just die?"

Some NFL players let themselves go in retirement. Rob Konrad has apparently stayed in good shape. Because he just swam nine miles.

Konrad, who played fullback for the Dolphins from 1999 to 2004, was in a fishing boat in the ocean near Palm Beach on Wednesday when hefell out and swam to shore, according to Local 10 News.

"Yeah it was rough out there with all the waves and current I had to deal with" explained Konrad. "I guess other Dolphins sensed I was in peril because they came to my aid after hour 3. I think being a member of the Dolphins helped save my life."

The U.S. Coast Guard said Konrad was fishing alone and remained in the Atlantic Ocean for about nine hours, which is how long it took him to swim nine miles to safety. Konrad’s boat was on autopilot and drifted off and away from him after he fell.

Konrad made it all the way to the shore and is OK.
