this shyt way worse than the demar hamlin situation and is getting way less coverage :damn:
you're comparing a situation where a player's heart stopped on the field in the biggest sport in America on Monday Night Football to a hockey game played in England? RIP to dude but it shouldn't be hard to figure out why one got more coverage.

I should have said "reckless" instead of "intentional" because intentional sounds like he was trying to kill him. He was trying to kick him and he might have lost balance which led to his foot going higher than he intended. But, that's incredibly reckless and it led to Johnson's death. To me, that's worthy of a manslaughter charge.

That was not a natural act and hockey players do not kick their legs up in a situation like that.

And it was the 2nd to last game for 2 playoff bound teams who still had a shot at home field. A lot of people in this country were paying attention that night.

I used to wear a guard when I played. You basically ad to. But I didn’t play with one outside of organized hockey. In surprised this doesn’t happen as often.

RIP to him. At least he went out doing what he loved.

My 2 fave sports I don’t think I’d let my son play. Hockey and football.

in high school a varsity player on my schools team had his arm ran over by a skate and the pool of blood on the ice made about 10 people simultaneously puke at the same time. Craziest shyt I’ve ever seen in my life.

On top of being one of few “must see” prime time matchups anymore. More ppl were probably watching that game live than ppl who know about this situation rn
