Its a pointless stance.

You are bothered by what other people value/ put their energy into?

I'm not bothered by it. I just view those types of people (the extra hardcore ones) as empty and soulless without any real accomplishments in life to speak of. It doesn't affect my mood any, it's just how I see it :yeshrug:

does anybody know what the first retro'ed jordan was?? (or any sneaker)

im thinking the 11's?

whoever thought of that idea at nike definitely got promoted though

The first retro sneakers were in the 90s, I think 94 with the Jordan 1s 2s and 3s. They didn't sell well at all. They went for as low as $30 bucks in some stores.

The retro craze didn't happen till after 2004 when every kid wanted to be a sneaker head. When I started in 98, it was about the love of the shoe. No matter what color or what you in ya collection, if you had love for kicks and you took care of ya joints. Like tooth brush soap and water.

It was about snapping necks. Having a pair of fresh kicks that haven't been out in a while. I used to cop kicks and sit on em for half a year. While others beat theirs to shyt, I keep mine fresh then pull em out later. Or it was a pair no one even knew about. Like the laser air force 1s or when air max 95s went out of style for a bit. You just pull out a fresh pair of whatever and just have a nice outfit to match.

Nowadays, these kids fukked up the game. Now it's all these rules. You gotta have every retro. You gotta google a bunch of bullshyt about Jordan to cop his kicks. Don't retro this don't retro that. Just buy what you like. I don't cop every retro. Just whatever I like. Then these resellers. And sneaker shops. Nike charges $160-175 for Jordan's and other retros. Nike SB dunks are $89-125 depending on materials. But because they got a theme or a nickname, these sneaker shops charge $400 bucks. It's insane. Retros sell out in a morning. A fukking morning. Like if you haven't gotten the shoes by 8am on release day, you will be on eBay paying $300 for a $160 shoe with $40 worth of quality. It's sad man.

Sorry for the long ramble
