We'd live much differently if we cared, we wouldn't be celebrating, partying, concerning ourselves with escaping all of the very things we should be completely focused on.

I feel people reject this type of message because they feel you’re trying to condesend them without thinking that you’re talking about the whole picture.

Little do they know that we all are imperfect and all trying to make it out.

Can't speak for all black people because we're not a monolith but my parents provided me with the necessary tools/ criticism/ suggestions, etc. Hence why I can take constructive feedback.:wow:

Who is allowed to ask black people to look in the mirror and get their shyt together because this country does not and has never cared about you?

Who’s allowed to tell it like it is without coddling us like we’re children.

Who’s allowed to tell black people theres nothing stopping you from getting 10 of your buddies together, (or a friend of a friend) taking 2k each out of your yearly salaries to put it towards something constructive for black people? Books, supplies, food. Who’s stopping you from doing that?

Who’s forcing you to engage in mindless consumerism while at the same time pretending you’re so poor all the while having all the new iPhones, fashion Brands, and other dumb shyt you don’t need?

Who’s allowed to tell us once and for all that our ancestors were enslaved to the white man but we are enslaved to ourselves and to American Consumerism

Who’s allowed to tell us that somewhere down your bloodline and mine, there’s a slave that didn’t quit on his life in hopes that one day his descendants would have a chance? AND here we are complaining about WHat?

Who’s allowed to tell you live in an American Bubble in the 21st century and your life is not that hard? Who’s allowed to tell you that being in the richest country in the world means that even in poverty you live better than most of the world and maybe stop complaining and just get it done?Who’s allowed to tell us that the Africans Of America have it easier than Africans anywhere else in the world, yet complain the most?

Who’s allowed to tell us to stop trying to engage in excessive materialism to substitute our low self esteem and self respect. Who’s allowed to tell us that we aren’t a community but just a group of people with collective trauma?

I love you all, so I’ll tell you.

I wish you guys The best.

This is just a nicer written way of saying "what about black on black crime?" More respectability claptrap that turns criticism towards black people away from the system oppressing them. Why are black people always blamed for the hellish conditions they're born into?
