Over the past few months, WWE has been beefing up its developmental system by signing top indy name Kevin Steen, and international stars KENTA and Fergal Devitt.

These names, along with top NXT stars Sami Zayn, Adrian Nevillea0 and Tyler Breeze, have lead to much speculation as to who will be next to make a main roster WWE debut.

According to The Wrestling Observer, Hideo Itami and Finn Balor will most likely be getting called up before anyone else currently featured on the NXT roster.

Itami has made it clear that he wants to become a part of WWE’s developmental system, so he can adapt to the WWE ring style and lean English, but his star power in Japan is what will likely see him debut on the main roster soon rather than later.

As for Devitt, Dave Meltzer was quoted as saying “Finn [Balor] wasn’t brought in to spend [two or] three years ” in developmental.

He will of course be required to have a run in NXT, because that’s how WWE develops its talent, but Meltzer speculates Balor will be brought to Raw “before 90% or 95% of the talent in NXT that’s there now will be up.”

I wish the 'E realized that one of the quickest way to get people over is to let them wrestle good, entertaining matches. They don't need undefeated streaks, they don't need to be apart of some faction, the people they signed will get over because they are entertaining to watch WRESTLE.

If you brought those NXT guys up to Raw and even just had them wrestle each other, the crowd would be able to get behind it because it's different than what most guys on their main roster can deliver. Rollins is their only "flashy" guy in a main-event, mid-card spot so these new signees would add something different.

Bring back the cruiserweight title if you have too, but let these guys get over with the same thing you signed them for. Because they could work.

The last thing we need is more belts.

And you think the E is trying to highlight the fact that Bryan isn't a "heavyweight" by having dudes his size compete for a cruiserweight title?

CW title belongs in the bushes. Industry is changing. Wrestling rosters the world over are getting smaller. The concept of the best guys being heavyweights is anachronistic. It starting in boxing in the early 00's and other combat sports, real and scripted, are adapting.

they could get guys over by just having them wrestle. Adrian Neville got over big time with the main crowds just off of his moveset alone.

they should have an NXT showcase at least 1 time per month...just give those guys a solid 5 minutes to go hard out there.

So someone wants to hone their skills in the NXT to learn the WWE style AND ENGLISH, So they don't become another Sin Cara....

and WWE is gonna say fukk all that......

i wait for this to fail...

Two completely different situations. Mistico (I'm not spelling out his current name) had not only never wrestled in the States and never ;earned English, but was also a pure luchador, which makes for some of the biggest style clashes one will see in WWE. Yeah, he could've been less of a dikk about it, but circumstance had more to do with Mistico's WWE failure than you'd think.

On the other hand, KENTA knows some English (and has shown that he's willing to become at least somewhat conversational in the language), has wrestled AND gotten over in front of North American crowds, and wrestles a style much, much closer to the WWE style. Not even remotely comparable.

He'll be fine if he comes up sooner rather than later.
