How do you know Geno wasn't going to win the starting job if Sanchez didn't get hurt? Geno is the better player, so why wouldn't he win the job?

Because Fez wasn't the better QB last year and it took having to be rescued in a game against Ryan Lindley for Rex to finally pull him in a game. All Rex used was this "he gives us the best chance to win" nonsense that was false. Fez sucked all preseason and somehow there was still a competition to be determined? Think about that. Like I told @Born2BKing, I wasn't writing off Geno. I was writing off the Jets.

If you didnt already need proof the media is a bunch of fair weather idiots, the jets are showing you.

I was bewildered by them being called the worst team in the league, that they were going 3-13 etc. I mean, the offense could not have been worse last season and they still finished 6-10. With even average qb play last season they could have been 9-7,10-6.

The jets are a laughing stock was a media fabricated story. Say what you want about him, but ryan knows defense, and a good defense always gives you a chance to win.

At the end of the day, Jets are a team on the rise, and the media will be eating crow all year. Revis, as great as he is, is not a difference maker. One CB has minimal effect.

Wether Geno is the QB or not is still to be seen, but he looked great today.

Pretty much this word for word....people underestimate how shtty mark sanchez truly is. Not only is he a terrible qb, but he infected the locker room with a losing spirit. Nobody on that team liked playing for him, or had faith in him. The team and organization is rallying around Geno. We're currently maxing out, and definitely on the rise. Props to management for facing reality, and abandoning ship on "sanchize". Geno was the right move if for no other reason than reversing course on a sinking ship that was aimless.

I think that humbled him and in the long run will pay off for him and the jets. I watched his interview and post-game press conf. after last night's game. He seems mature for a rookie. I wish him the best.
