I can listen to him in small doses but I feel like if I went to one of his shows I would want to cut my ears off
his music feels like it has a whiny quality to it.
Its not "bad" but I just cant take it past 2-3 songs at a time

This is exactly how I felt for some time, but for whatever reason his voiced just clicked and stopped registering as whiny to me one day. Since then his music has been crack.
Its funny I never gave him a chance when he first dropped because he was associated with drake and drakes a fakkit who makes garbage music.
But when i randomly pressed play on house of ballons
then thursday then echoes of silence
You are either get it or you dont. I lived that hedonistic ,nihilistic,drug induced misogynistic life style so it was like hearing someone sing about my life. Lyrics just connected with me on a personal level that very few artists ever had.
I used to drive down the highway for no reason at night just to zone out to those tapes

His very versatile. I like his stuff, yeah his gone 'mainstream' now but even the stuff off his last album was fire. Best of all his music speaks for him,never really seen Abel need to do any fukkery to sell his music.
