We've had enough of this 'calm and poised' leadership with the cowboys. That's why they are so mediocre. We didn't even take the risks to go down the field and score until Dez started yelling. That's something Garrett or Romo should be doing, but they are calm and act like nothing is going on. In fact, the 'core' has been known to walk off the field smiling after losing tough games. GIve me a Dez type personality who is passionate about winning any day.

so your coach gonna yell at you for no good reason huh. just get all in the black player face for no reason

because most of time when your coach yelling at you, something probably went wrong

What other occupation do you know of where your manager makes less than you, is less talented than you, yet gets to talk down to you like you're incompetent, when actually you're the top 3% of players that have made it to the pros. It just seems like these coaches get off on it a little too much.

What are your examples? What coach, besides Schiano, has been talking down to his players and "getting off on it"?

Most if not all coaches. Again, if you make a mistake on your job, is your boss going to run up to you and scream at you like you're his damn child?

did you not understand or just didn't like my response? Being loud is one thing, getting up in someone's face yelling until they turn Mike Shannahan red is something completely different. Like I said, these white coaches get off on it. I stand by what I said.

The first tantrum dez threw, that was excusable. The one at the end though where demarcus ware had to get at him was not a good look.

How do we know if Ware "had" to get at him? For sure, that's how ESPN, CBS and all would interpret it. But that's all they or we are doing: interpreting. No one knows what was being said here. And just looking at it, Witten looks more like the aggressor here. Ware pushes Witten away and could just be telling Bryant to walk away, let it go. He could have just as easily taken Witten by the arm and pulled him aside, talked to him. How would that play on ESPN if it went down that way? Would Witten be described as a toddler, like some columnists have labeled Dez? Bottom line: no one just watching the broadcast knows what was being said or whether or not it was justifiable or reasonable. Jumping to a whole lot of conclusions using nothing but body language.

I see. You've obviously never played sports before.
Actually I have, but not at a college or pro level. But do you actually believe that demeaning a professional athlete that's actually better than his coach in every facet of life is an effective strategy? You think Jordan or Barry Sanders needed to be yelled at and demeaned. I understand what you're saying in terms of it's the coach/player dynamic that has been going on since the dawn of sports. I just think white coaches enjoy barking on Black players a little more than they do white players. Parcells was the exception because he barked on Simms all the time. And I understand the idea of motivation, but as a Black man, I just have an issue with it.
