It was after the beef. But when Meek had got locked up, everybody was on this whole free meek campaign. Once he came home then dudes was acting like Nelson Mandela was freed. Even Drake hopped on the wave, because I remember he brought Meek out during one of his concerts around that time.

That vibe and feelz shyt anybody can get lucky wit a few songs or fire beats but consistency elludes them because microwave music is usually gimmicks over beats bereft of real talent. the ones that do hit usually come and go after a spark....nikkas don't want to hear it but Kendrick damn near 40, from Jay to Kanye to future to drake etc rap been run by middle aged rappers for years and years now that's just recent reality

It won't come from neither. The genre has reached it's maturation phase, like Jazz before it. Not saying the youth can't still drop great music but it's always going to fall in the shadow of what came before, much like how everything fell in the shadow of what Miles, Coltrane, Bird, Monk etc. did did. Time for the youth to create a new genre or even repurpose an older one (like what Shaboozey is doing with country).
