It's not fair to blame the religion of Islam for the types of attacks we've seen over the past 10-15 years. The Prophet Muhammad fought on the battlefield army vs. army. There is no recorded incident of him attacking civilian targets or advocating doing so. In fact, there is plenty of evidence against such acts.

It's telling that not one certified Muslim scholar/cleric on the planet advocates these type of attacks. This is a product of the blind following the blind, and clueless Muslims getting their religious education from the internet instead of traditional methods. Couple this ignorance with increased social alienation, lack of empathy, and an overall sense of hopelessness, and you have recipe for disaster. And that's not even mentioning the imperialist foreign policy which adds fuel to the fire.
