Y’all really don’t read anything for yourselves.The contract is dated in 2002 and College Dropout was released in 2004. They sold the masters before there was a masters if anything it proves Shawn ain’t see the potential initially. Likely sold it to Def Jam/Universal for an advance with options on any subsequent albums up to 6 after CD for a total of 7. This isn’t creep and sounds very 2002.
