Yes, because if you speak on matters you don't understand, that is the definition of ignorance, learn about a subject before talking about or talking shyt about it, you deserve to get talked down and belittled, because you are being willfully ignorant

speaking on something with a position as ignorance as if it is fact has to be the most arrogant, idiotic shyt you can do as a man and you deserve to be shytted on for doing such.
:mjlol: I swear there's an "expert" on everything on thecoli, you're saying shyt that the average person would know from watching breakfast club interviews and reading rappers books or better yet fukking google, yet propping yourself up like you're a fukking entertainment lawyer.

Could have given Ye a chance to buy out or negotiate down some of those future recordings that were included. If that is someone you claim is your brother or your family and not a just a chess piece for you to manipulate then you would at least give them that opportunity to say no. People in here saying those recordings were worthless at the time, well then it shouldn’t have cost that much to buy them out.

Ye didn’t have the funds to buy it back then nor the celebrity/status so Jay should’ve sold it to him at a huge discount or wait til Ye becomes rich enough to buy it because... “brothers”?

At the end of the day Jay was Kanye’s BOSS and business is business. Now, some of you may be very friendly or have brotherly relationships with co workers but would you give up your investments and hundreds of millions of dollars over your co worker? That’s hilarious.

If Kanye were to sell Good Music tomorrow to Def Jam in exchange for HIS Masters then that would simply be business.

And he would with the quickness, but it seems like they only care about Sean and Pusha, both of who, I think, have deals outside of just good currently.

I've been saying for a min that I think Sean is basically one foot out the door already, especially after signing with roc nation for management who is basically known for getting artists out of shyt deals in return for a management signing or a separate one with the parent company. I also truly believe that when Sean does leave, there's gonna be a lot of dirty details both of them can lay out about each other (ghostwriting/producing, payments, promotion, etc)

I also think it's why ye was quick to give pusha that president position, that after all this time, has proven to be nothing but a title since he still doesn't have control over his own music (according to him scrapping an entire album because of ye and limiting Daytona just for ye) nor the artists he signs (according to desiigner and all of the issues he had). Just seems like an easy way to help get more money in the pockets of the artist that fights your beefs.

I wish teyana would speak out about this because that would be the deciding factor for me. We all know ye screwed her over to the point where people were recommending she audits Ye and the label to see where her budget actually went.

As much as ye likes to play victim, I'm positive he's just as guilty when it comes to his artists and collaborators. I forget which album it was, but a recently album had a slew of complaints from people that worked on for not being paid, credited, having their work messed with, etc.

I know it's business and all, but I couldn't be "brothers" with a guy that owns my work, like Kanye and Jay was. I would keep it cordial and friendly but never trust.

If we was bros, everytime we would get drunk/high I'd be hella salty knowing he has my masters on some

":martin: Uhhn Jay, are you going to pass that blunt or you're going to hog it like my masters"

Jay, knew hence the way he ditched Kanye.

Kanye West is delusional, his publishing deal isn't making him a slave. When an artist goes into the music industry to usually get two deals, a publishing deal and record deal. A record deal is where the studio gives you an advance for making a record and in return give them a share of the revenue from the music. In a publishing deal you basically sell your music in return for cash for a period of time, you get royalties if your music is played in a movie or commercial. All of this is common knowledge, I'm surprised to see this as an eye opening for Kanye West.

Why can't Kanye buy his masters back?
Seems like if he came up with enough money they would sell them to him.

that twitter "article" was sensational bullshyt

it was no reason to mention JAY Z at all....

he wasn't involved in this contract negotiations

particularly the 2012 renegotiation which is where KANYE began having issues...

"going over budget"...."taking on way too many advances".."opting to sign a contract granting Def Jam 20 years of retaining his masters"

It clearly was Kanye making bad decisions.......

if anything Jay tried to HELP kanye.....

because Def Jam/Universal refused to give him any more tour support money which is where LIVE NATION/Roc Nation stepped in to assist (20 million

www.tmz.com/2017/07/04/jay-z-20-million-kanye-west-saint-pablo-tour-money

I remember Jay cutting the Watch the Throne tour budget because Kanye wanted spend a million on every show or some shyt lol.

nikka been reckless
